Welcome to our bittersweet world.

Big damn heroes.

At least we will always have the DVD's.

Are there going to be more movies?

Probably no. It was a miracle that they made it to the big screen given the circumstances of their cancellation (episodes shown out of order, yanked without warning mid-season).

I try to follow the actors, Nathan Fillion (Captain Tightpants/Mal) is easy to find. Morena Baccarin has had a pretty long-running guest gig on SciFi' s Stargate SG-1 as a big bad(!)
Gina Torres works a lot in TV & film. Go to IMDb to follow the others.
Ron Glass does a lot of theatre as does Alan Tudyk.
Try Veoh.com for episodes, also Stage 6 (for DIVX-encoded movie). You should have no pro finding episodes at Veoh, though I'm not sure if thy have "Serenity" or not.
I watched the "Behind the Scenes" part of the DVD of Serenity and saw the nightmare it was to get the stuff made, but since it made some money and got such good reviews, who knows what stirs the black hearts of movie executives? :)

e2c: I checked out that Veoh site - lots there to take in! I see I can catch up on Simpsons that I've missed, and Bill Moyers too - thanks for the tip!

I can no longer look at Capn' Tightpants without imagining him as Capn' No-pants.

Oh yeah! Nathan Fillion is awesome.

He'd probably laugh his uh, pants off if he read your comment.

I too came to Firefly late. I had guests last summer who made me watch. I now own everything i can get my hands on that is firefly. Damn them.
I love Capt no-pants, but it's the women of the series who really make me sit up and beg. Look at the Icon on my profile.

Those pants remind me of cop uniforms (these folks *are* ex-military), and I can't help feeling that I'm going to get pulled over for speeding!

So far, I'm liking the show, but do think some of the dialogue is stilted, due to the Western movie-isms Fillion uses. Seems awfully out of place...

And yes, it's nice to see Ron Glass again!

Mmm...welcome my friend. this show's a gem.
It's a sad club, what with the weeping and the lamentation, but you're welcome to join us. *sniffle*
well, I've never seen the show or movie, but I think ol whatsisname (seated) is kinda cute, but I just got an email from my local theatah informing me that it's a Firefly/Serenity weekend at the old Bryn Mawr Film Institute next week. Too bad you don't live around here.
Drat - how I wish I was a jetsetter! :)

Usually I'm not too into sci-fi stuff, but this isn't too heavy on the technical mumbo-jumbo. Plus, Nathan Fillion (seated) is dreamy, and that always helps a show out.
Cranky, is that art deco theater in Ardmore (or is it Haverford?) still standing? I went there once in the early 70s for a movie and couldn't believe how beautiful the theater was.

they all look the same to me, and I haven't been in too many in a while. There is one in Wayne, the theater in Ardmore I think is Phila. Fitness Club now...

here's a fisheye blue pic of the one in Wayne.

Maybe it was the one in Ardmore. I didn't pay much attention to the buildings when I was younger, now they are either gone or I haven't been in them in a while. The one in Wayne is nice though.

the one in Ardmore is in [blanking on name!] what is essentially the 1st shopping center built in the US. It's been so many years since I spent any time in or around Philly, though.... I really am kinda out there with names, locations, etc. Sorry!
Ah, thank God for Google - Suburban Square!
